We are delighted to share that Professor Yangsiyu Lu has collaborated with Jacquelyn Pless from the MIT Sloan School of Management to publish a research article in Journal of Public Economics, a leading journal in public economics, titled “Greening to Grow: Evidence from Environmental Regulation and Industrial Firm Productivity in China.”
Research by Prof. Yangsiyu Lu was featured in Oxford INET News, highlighting her study on China’s environmental regulation and industrial firm productivity. The research shows that environmental regulation can act as a growth catalyst by encouraging firm upgrading, innovation, and more efficient resource allocation.
Professor Yangsiyu Lu was invited to attend the Third China Energy and Climate Finance 30 Forum, where she delivered a presentation titled “Shine on Small Mines: Size-Based Economic Effects of Coal Mine Closure” in the Outstanding Young Scholars Sub-Forum.
Professor Yangsiyu Lu was invited to visit the LEFMI UPJV Laboratory at the Université de Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV) in Amiens, France, where she delivered an academic presentation titled “Raining on Bonds: The Impact of Extreme Rainfall on Local Financing Costs.”
Professor Yangsiyu Lu published a column article titled “Can Environmental Regulation Enhance Productivity? Evidence from China’s Industrial Sector” on VoxChina.
Professor Yangsiyu Lu attended the Vietnam Symposium in Climate Transition (VSCT2024) and gave a seminar from December 12th to 13th.
Professor Yangsiyu Lu, Phd students Jiao Xiong, Yang Zhang and Yafei Xu visited the offshore wind power projects in Nanri island at Putian city from December 6th to 8th.
Professor Yangsiyu Lu was invited by INET Oxford to give an online seminar titled “Raining on Bonds: The Financing Costs on Urban Investment Bonds".
Professor Yangsiyu Lu attended the 2024 Greater Bay Area Science Forum’s Green Energy Industry Science and Technology Innovation Sub-Forum and visited the Big Data Center for Guangdong Offshore Wind in Yangjiang City.
